Have your say: the GTC Scotland Learning for Sustainability Hub
Learning for Sustainability is an international and national priority in education, and in Scotland, the Professional Standards for Teachers are underpinned by Learning for Sustainability as a key cross-cutting theme; interdependent with the other key cross-cutting themes of Values and Leadership.
We have worked with the General Teaching Council for Scotland for several years; developing professional learning and resources to help teachers to explore Learning for Sustainability in the Professional Standards for Teachers.
A key resource that we have developed together is the GTC Scotland Learning for Sustainability Hub.
A core feature of the Hub are the monthly online ‘Connect’ webinars that provide an opportunity for educators to network, inspire, inform and celebrate Learning for Sustainability across their teaching, setting and learning community.
Our latest ‘Connect’ session was held on 25 January and provided an opportunity for participants to:
- Hear a reminder of the key aims of Scotland’s national Learning for Sustainability Action Plan: ‘Target 2030: a movement for people, planet and prosperity’.
- Hear more about the GTC Scotland vision for Learning for Sustainability in 2024…and beyond.
- Explore the current content of the GTC Scotland LfS Hub
- Share thoughts on the Hub’s current content
- Provide thoughts on additional content to further enhance the Hub.
