UNESCO ESD for 2030 Roadmap launched at virtual World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development
Learning for Sustainability Scotland is supporting the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development May 17-19 2021, where the crucial role of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) as a key enabler for the successful achievement of all UN Sustainable Development Goals and the COVID rebuilding process will be highlighted. At this important conference, delayed since May 2020 because of Covid19, the new UNESCO ESD for 2030 Roadmap will be launched, aiming to create momentum for strengthening ESD in policy and practice across the world.
Learning for Sustainability Scotland will be represented at the World Conference by our Chair, Rehema White, who is convening sessions about Putting ESD into action: How to mainstream ESD in national education and SDGs policy? The full programme for the event is available here. Some sessions will be streamed via UNESCO’s YouTube, and you can also find more about it on twitter through #ESDfor2030.
