Professional Learning Award for Learning for Sustainability Scotland
We are delighted that Learning for Sustainability Scotland has been awarded the GTCS Professional Learning Award for Organisations for our programmes for Scotland’s educators in early years settings, schools, colleges and universities.
In written feedback the GTCS awarding panel said:
‘the key features of high quality, effective professional learning in line with the Professional Learning Model and key features of Professional Update have been clearly demonstrated and are embedded into the principles of the programme design and the learning on offer.
Some key features are:
- The programmes respond to national and global priorities and policies and are embedded in Professional Standards through a values-led approach;
- There is a commitment to allow learners the opportunities to engage in real world issues, questioning, reflecting and sharing through enquiry led learning;
- The programmes are not only rich learning experiences in themselves, but also catalysts to support further learning; and,
- Learning for Sustainability Scotland programmes encourage a passion for Learning for Sustainability and embrace opportunities for change.
