How to engage the Press in the SDGs and other Sustainability Initiatives
13th November 2018, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Event cost: £20.00
Working on sustainability issues can be exciting and immensely rewarding. It can also be frustrating. We spend so much of our time and energy working on projects – and aligning them with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and other sustainability measures and yet…nobody in the mainstream seems to know anything about it!
Sound familiar?
Join Rob Edwards – international political and environmental journalist for The Guardian, The Herald, Channel 4 and much, much more – and Fiona Ross, community activist and TV / media expert, as they give you insight on ways to reach more than your immediate audience by engaging the press.
This entertaining and insightful workshop will cover:
- What engaging with the media really involves
- How to write your press release so it hits the mark
- Rephrasing what you do to make the press interested
- How to engage the local, national and international press
This afternoon event will be illuminating for anybody who feels that engaging with the press could be a rewarding and fulfilling experience, if only you could get them to see the bigger picture!
Price: £20 + Booking Fee, includes light refreshments
