Fri 4th April 2025 - Courses & Events Summaries, Further and Higher Education, News, RCE Network, Schools and early learning & childcare settings, Young people

On Wednesday 02 April, the European network of Regional Centres of Expertise (RCEs) in Education for Sustainable Development welcomed a global audience to the second of its ‘Exploring the potential of…’ webinar series.

Created by RCE Czechia and supported by RCE Scotland (‘Learning for Sustainability Scotland’), RCE Ruhr, and RCE Basque Country-Navarre, this event focused on ‘Exploring the potential of…creative learning for sustainability’.

Welcoming our guest speakers

Following an introductory overview, which included a theoretical examination of the topic, we were delighted to hear from three inspirational speakers; each of which provided insights into real-life examples of Creative Learning for Sustainability.

Finally, participants were invited to join a group discussion; where questions were posed to the presenters, and additional resources and sources of inspiration were shared. We also heard from Begona Guzman and Lorea Gonzalez from UN Etxea, who shared more about their work to support arts-based education for sustainability. Continuing the conversation…

Participants were then invited to share their favourite resources, ideas, and questions regarding creative learning for sustainability. This facility remains open for participants to continue this ‘conversation’.
