SUMMARY:Monitoring and evaluating education for sustainable development in Higher Education workshop (Senior Managers)
DESCRIPTION:Measuring\, monitoring and evaluating Education for Sustainable Development is an important task. It helps us to show where we are at\, the impact we’re having\, and find out what and where we need to improve. \n\n\n\nAs part of a QAA funded Collaborative Enhancement project\, the University of St Andrews; in partnership with EAUC Scotland\, LfSS\, sparqs\, SOS UK\, and University of Edinburgh\, have developed a flexible 6-step framework that provides guidance on monitoring and evaluating ESD in higher education – including looking at mapping\, quality\, depth\, and impacts. The outcomes also include a handbook and two workshops run by QAA. The workshops are free for QAA members and non-members to join and are open to all\, with the two workshops having a slightly different target group. \n\n\n\nThis first workshop aims to: \n\n\n\n\n increase awareness of the framework among senior managers with a responsibility for education\, including for example Vice Principals\n\n\n\ngive them an overview of how the Framework works\n\n\n\nincrease institutional buy-in for ESD\, and to allow for the support and encouragement of staff to monitor and evaluate their work. \n\n\n\n\nFind out more and book your (free) place here. \n\n\n\nThe event is open to anyone to attend. The project and outcomes are\, however\, currently university-focused and will likely be more relevant to higher education institutions. \n\n\n\nYou may also be interested in our additional event for academics\, coordinators and support staff.
