SUMMARY:Keep the global climate conversation going with 'Live at the COP'!
DESCRIPTION:Our FREE ‘Live at the COP’ MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) remains open as a legacy resource until COP30 begins in November 2025. \n\n\n\nSince its first iteration in 2021 for COP26\, over 20\,000 people from over 170 countries have taken part in this collaborative\, facilitated learning opportunity. \n\n\n\nThe course ran during the United Nations COP29 Climate Change Conference which took place in Baku\, Azerbaijan\, from 11 – 29 November. \n\n\n\n\nThis course offers you an opportunity to examine what the COP process is\, why it’s considered to be important and reflect on how you can add your voice to the call for collective action for a sustainable future. \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThroughout the course\, we shared ‘live’ insights into the issues being discussed at COP29\, as well as responses to the conference themes from children and young people\, community groups and ministerial bodies\, both nationally and internationally. Using these ‘starting points’\, we invite you to reflect on what you have heard\, watched and read\, and think about what these conversations and issues mean to you. \n\n\n\nCourse content from ‘Live at COP29’ will remain open\, free and accessible as a legacy resource for school\, community and individual use beyond the Conference. \n\n\n\nClick here to access the course

SUMMARY:Critical Sustainability Conversations #1: Mapping the terrain around the SDGs
DESCRIPTION:This is the first in a new series of Critical Sustainability Conversations led by Learning for Sustainability Scotland.\n\n\n\nThis webinar is held in collaboration with Scotland’s SDG Network. \n\n\n\nClick here to book your free place. \n\n\n\nOverview \n\n\n\nThe UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have now been in place for a decade\, with only five years left to go until we reach their target date of 2030. Conversation is intensifying on how far we have come\, potential avenues for collaboration and where we go from here. \n\n\n\nJoin us in this webinar\, where we will map the future terrain of the SDGs in Scotland. We will explore the current ‘hot topics’ in relation to the SDGs\, consider who is involved so far\, and investigate how we can work together. This is an exciting time\, as Scotland’s SDG Network is galvanising further action through a revamped Basecamp site for active collaboration\, a brand new landing page and an open LinkedIn to widen the conservation. \n\n\n\nWe will also share the results of a new map illustrating ongoing work in Scotland and will offer participants an opportunity to put themselves ‘on the map’! \n\n\n\nThis webinar highlights positive possibilities for individuals\, organisations and nations to work together through the SDGs. \n\n\n\nClick here to book your free place. \n\n\n\nIt precedes the second Critical Sustainability Conversation on 28th May that will offer critical perspectives on the SDGs and suggest how we can consider them whilst attempting to decolonise the curriculum.
